Individual PresentationsEach year, every member of the Young Riders that wishes to participate in Districts or State, must give an oral, individual presentation to the club members. Presentation topics are up to the presenter and have no limits. Presentations must be at least 3 minutes, and may be interactive or solely informational. Judging Criteria THE BinderBYLAWSThe BYLAWS for the 2008-2009 year are now available. Please print them out and put in your binder. All instructions regarding the binder are within the Bylaws. Points SystemFor the 2008-2009 4H year, participation in the Isle of Wight Young Riders 4H Club will be monitored by a points system. Learn More... Sponsorship Program-4Hers applying must have been a member of the Isle of Wight Young Riders for a minimum of 1 record year. -Applicants must be in good standing with the 4H club and have at least 30% of points at submission of application and 60% of the total points offered by September of 2008. -Applicants must have participated in at least 15 hours of community service, divided between 4H events and outside activities. Outside activities must have proper documentation by a leader or parent. -Events must be horse related i.e. Horse judging, clinics, showing, etc. However, events do not have to be 4H sanctioned . -Applicants must have attended at least 80% of the 4H meetings. 10 out of 12 meetings. Or have participated in "make-up" activities to replace any meetings missed. - 50% of the money in the bank at the conclusion of the year [September] will be allotted to sponsorships, and sponsorships will be paid out at the end-of-the-year dinner that month. -Applications are due by December 1 st , 2008 . |
